The Xiaomi Mi5s 3GB RAM and 64GB storage capacity is the base model of the new Mi5s series! Unlike its predecessor Mi5 and Mi5 Pro the new Xiaomi Mi5s comes in a brushed metal case with clearly recognizable antenna stripes on the rear. The rounded 5.15 inch FullHD IPS LCD display is protected by Gorilla Glass 4. Unlike the 4+128GB version of the Mi5s, no Force 3D touch display is used in this model.
Another absolute novelty is the 3D Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The Xiaomi Mi5s is the first smartphone in the world, which is equipped with Qualcomm's new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint scanner is located under the display glass and can scan the fingerprint even through materials such as aluminum and glass.
Further specifications include 3GB of RAM in combination with 64GB UFS 2.0 internal memory. The new Mi5s scored a different camera sensor from Sony. The device is equipped with the SONY IMX378 sensor, which has a resolution of 12 megapixels.
