The Vivo S9 features a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. The 44MP dual selfie camera device is powered by a MTK Dimensity 1100 octa-core chipset. The Android phone supports dual 5G and 4G LTE and packs a triple rear camera with 64MP main sensor. The battery of the Vivo S9 has a capacity of 4000mAh supporting 33W Vivo Flash Charge technology running Origin OS based on Android 11.
On the front, the Vivo S9 has a 6.44-inch OLED screen with 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution and HDR10+ support. The screen comes with an aspect ratio of 20:9, 180Hz touch sampling rate and 90Hz refresh rate. Underneath, it is powered by a 64bit MediaTek Dimensity 1100 octa-core processor with 4x 2.6GHz and 4x 2.0GHz. The 6nm SoC is supported by the ARM G77 GPU and up to 12GB of RAM. The Vivo S9 offers 128GB or 256GB UFS3.1 internal storage.
The Vivo S9 has a triple rear camera and a dual front camera. The camera on the back comes with a 64 megapixel ultra high-definition main sensor, an 8 megapixel ultra wide-angle lens and a third 2 megapixel macro camera supporting video recordings up to 4K. On the front, the dual cameras are located inside the notch. The 44 megapixel primary sensor with autofocus and f/2.0 aperture is paired with an 8 megapixel ultrawide angle lens with f/2.28 aperture.
Powering the device is a 4000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. The Vivo S9 offers connectivity options including dual 5G support, dual 4G LTE, dual band Wi-Fi, WLAN Display, Bluetooth 5.2, including SBC, AAC, aptX HD and LDAC. For precise navigation and positioning the Vivo S9 supports GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and Galileo. The device runs the new in-house UI called OriginOS based on Android 11. Please note, that even if English language (or another language) is available, some parts of the operating system might still be displayed in Chinese language. No launcher change possible.
