Royole's new foldable smartphone sports the third generation Cicada Wing fully flexible display. The display is super flexible and can be bent over 1.8 million times. The technology has been upgraded, providing higher brightness and contrast with a response time as fast as 0.4ms. The Royole FlexPai 2 comes with a proprietary super seamless and stepless 3S hinge. The flexible display and hinge are cleverly integrated together to enable seamless folding and facilitate one-hand use. FlexPai 2 can easily fit in your pocket to be carried around, so that you can enjoy the big screen experience whenever, wherever. The hinge is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum titanium alloy and liquid metal, creating a thin, light, wear-resistant, and impact-resistant product. The precision hinge structure and accurate processing enable the hinge to provide the better protection for the screen by withstanding any impact.
The display is a 7.8-inch 1920 x 1440 4:3 panel which turns into a 5.5-inch 1440 x 900 16:10 main display or a 5.4-inch 1440 x 810 16:9 secondary screen when folded. When unfolded the size of the FlexPai 2 is 186.2 x 133.8 x 6.3mm and when folded the device measures 89.4 x 133.8 x 12.8mm. Under the flexible screen is an octa-core Snapdragon 865 SoC combined with an Adreno 650 GPU and Spectra 480 ISP being able to process 2 billion pixels per second. The Royole FlexPai 2 is available with 8GB+256GB or 12GB+512GB storage option.
The Royole FlexPai 2 has four cameras, plus a soft light flash module exclusively for taking selfies and to adjust the brightness and shine for a more natural look. The quad camera setup consist of a 64 megapixel UHD main camera with f/1.89 aperture, a 32 megapixel selfie portrait camera (f/2.0), a 16 megapixel 116° ultra-wide angle lens (f/2.2) and an 8 megapixel telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom and 30x digital zoom.
Elsewhere, the FlexPai 2 features a 4,450mAh battery with 18W charging via a USB Type-C port. The Royole FlexPai 2 is equipped with a range of different sensors including fingerprint sensor, compass and gyroscope. Connectivity options include dual 5G, dual 4G LTE, HSPA, EVDO, CDMA and GSM, as well as 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and GPS, A-GPS, Beidou, Galileo and Glonass for navigation.
