As one of the first Company's, Xiaomi released a new Laptop range with the brand-new AMD Ryzen 4000 APU's. It is equipped with up to 1TB SATA SSD and AMD's Radeon RX Vega 6/7 GPU.
The new AMD Renoir Ryzen 4000 APU's are fabricated on TSMC's 7nm process based on AMD's Zen 2 microarchitecture. AMD’s integrated Vega graphics continues to deliver a strong showing in the Ryzen 4500U. Higher sustained clock speeds and faster memory mean that the Ryzen 4500 APU’s Vega 6 GPU offers as much as 59 percent faster GPU performance compared to Ryzen 3000 APUs. According to tests, the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U is up to 50% faster than the Intel Core i5-8250U.
The laptop features a 13.3-inch full HD screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and even slimmer borders with 4.65mm bezels and a screen ratio of now 89%. The display supports 178° wide viewing angle, a brightness up to 250 nits and high-definition anti-glare. The outside surfaces of the RedmiBook 13 is again made of metal and the C-side is made of plastic.
The Xiaomi RedmiBook 13 Ryzen Edition comes in three different variants with built-in AMD Ryzen 4700U, 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, AMD Ryzen 4500U, 16GB RAM and 512GB storage or AMD Ryzen 4500U APU with 8GB RAM and 512GB SATA SSD storage. The RedmiBook weighs just 1.23 kilos and has a thickness of 16.3mm. To keep the laptop cool it comes with two vents underneath the keyboard to manage temperature.
With the affordable Ryzen Edition you also get two USB 3.1 ports, a HDMI 1.4 port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and dual band Wi-Fi ac along with Bluetooth v5.0 connectivity. The laptop has a full-size keyboard with a travel distance of 1.3mm and 19mm wide key. In addition, there is a multi-touch gesture-supporting touchpad.
