The Oppo A55 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD memory card up to a whopping 1TB. The Oppo phone features a 6.5-inch HD+ display, a rectangular camera module at the back, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, and a large 5000mAh battery. The Oppo A55 runs ColorOS 11 based Android 11 OS.
The Oppo A55 5G sports a waterdrop notch screen with 6.5-inch and 720 x 1600 pixels resolution (269ppi), standard 60Hz refresh rate, 88.7 per cent screen-to-body ratio, and 480nits peak brightness. The Oppo device uses a 64bit MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core chipset, coupled with 4GB or 6GB RAM and 128GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card up to 1TB (Terabyte).
As for the optics, the Oppo A55 5G comes with three cameras on the back that comprises a 13 megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 2 megapixel macro sensor, and a third 2 megapixel camera for macro photography. The A55 5G supports camera features such as Night Scene, AI Portrait, Time-Lapse, Super Text, and the Ultra-Clear mode. On the front, there is an 8 megapixel selfie camera (f/2.0) residing inside the waterdrop notch capable of recording videos with 1080p at 30fps.
The Oppo A55 packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports standard 10W charging. The Android phone also comes with a physical fingerprint sensor on the side and connectivity features include dual 5G, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1 including aptX-HD, GPS and USB Type-C for charging and data transfers. The China phone is running with ColorOS 11, based on Android 11 supporting OTA updates. Please note, that even if English language (or another language) is available, some parts of the operating system might still be displayed in Chinese language. No launcher change possible.
