The Meizu X8 is the first smartphone from the company to arrive with a notched display. The notch is located at the top of its 6.2-inch LCD panel. The Meizu X8 has the same LCD COF ultra-narrow bezel technology as Apple’s latest iPhone XR for more screen real estate on the device with up to 89.6% screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 710 chipset and available with three RAM and storage configurations: 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB.
The Meizu X8 ships with a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The Snapdragon 710 chipset drives the smartphone integrating a multi-core artificial intelligence engine. The Hexagon 685 AI chip works seamlessly with the processor and Adreno 616 GPU for an improved battery life and performance. The Meizu X8 offers up to 6 GB RAM and up to 128 GB flash memory.
In optics, the Meizu X8 features AI backed dual cameras on the rear. The setup includes a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 primary sensor, paired with f/1.9 aperture lens and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with dual color LED flash, dual ISP and portrait bokeh mode. As for selfies, it sports a 20-megapixel front camera shooter with f/2.0 aperture lens which also supports face unlock.
Other features include a 3,210mAh battery, USB-C port, dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n and Bluetooth 5.0 + LE. The mobile supports dual 4G LTE as well as GPS, Glonass, and Beidou. Other features include user-friendly full-screen gestures and Flyme game mode 3.0. The device runs Android 8.0 Oreo with Meizu's Flyme UI.
