The new Lenovo S5 is equipped with a 5.7-inch screen with a trendy aspect ratio of 18:9 and curved 2.5D edges. It comes as the main competitor to the Meizu M6s/Meilan S6, Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus or Redmi Note 5 and Huawei P20 Lite. The S5 has a full metallic body that is made out of series 6000 aluminum. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 625 chipset. It comes with 3GB or 4GB RAM and 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB storage options. The front-facing 16-megapixel camera can be used for facial recognition. It is running on ZUI 3.7, based on Android O.
The mid-range phone sports a 5.7-inch full screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels (18:9). Under the hood, a 64bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chip is paired with 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of internal storage. The octa-core SoC offers up to 2.0GHz clock speed.
On the rear is a dual camera with two 13-mexapixel sensors and autofocus. The dual rear camera sports a monochrome sensor and a f/2.2 aperture RGB sensor. In addition, the Lenovo S5 features a 16MP front camera (FF) that supports 100-level AI beauty and face recognition. Videos can be shoot with up to 4K resolution.
The Lenovo S5 is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery and comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and a USB Type-C port. In terms of software, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro “killer” runs on ZUI that uses a new U-touch 4.0 interaction and is based on Android 8.0 Oreo. On the rear which looks almost identical as that of the Xiaomi Mi A1 and OnePlus 5T is the fingerprint scanner located.
