The Huawei P50 Pro is the latest P-series high-end smartphone with an outstanding camera taking over 1st place from the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra at DxOMark. The camera setup combines a large-sensor primary camera with a 13mm ultra-wide sensor with 13MP, a 90mm periscope telephoto lens, a 40MP monochrome sensor, and a multispectral color temperature sensor for optimizing white balance and color rendering. The P50 Pro is powered by a Kirin 9000 chipset, 8GB of RAM and an expandable storage. The flagship phone features a curved 6.6-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. The phone is IP68 rated for splash, water, and dust resistance. In terms of connectivity, the P50 Pro supports dual 4G LTE, NFC, Infrared, Wireless charging and Wi-Fi 6 amongst others. The Huawei P50 Pro runs HarmonyOS which is essentially a forked version of Android.
The P50 Pro has a True-Chroma display supporting P3 wide color gamut and 1.07 billion colors shows consistent colors from sight to screen. The screen stretches 6.6-inch supporting 120Hz refresh rate and a 1,440 Hz high frame rate PWM dimming control to reduces eye strain. In addition, 50W Wireless Huawei SuperCharge is supported, and the capability to charge another phone with reverse wireless charging. The premium phone supports connectivity options including a wide range of Wi-Fi networks, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, global 4G LTE and infrared.
