The Mate 40 is a typical Mate series device equipped with high-tech components, innovative features and a unique design. The innovative phone features a brilliant Leica Space ring camera on the rear, an edge-to-edge curved screen, a large battery with 4200mAh supporting Huawei SuperCharge with cable or 40W Wireless Huawei SuperCharge and IP53 certification.
The Mate 40 sports an OLED 6.5 inch FHD+ screen with up to 90 Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The eye-catching Horizon Display offers a wider area for interactions and has a punch hole front camera and fingerprint reader integrated. The Huawei Mate 40 5G is powered by a 5nm Kirin 9000E 5G SoC octa core processor with 1x Cortex-A77 at 3.13GHz + 3x Cortex-A77 at 2.54GHz + 4x Cortex-A55 at 2.05GHz clock speed. The octa-core chipset is paired with a 22-core Mali G76 GPU and a Big-Core plus Tiny-Core NPU architecture. The Huawei Mate 40 5G is available with 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB storage. The flash memory can be expanded by an additional 256GB with a NM memory card.
Thanks to the remarkable triple rear camera setup you are able to find the tiniest detail with Huawei Mate 40. The camera setup includes a 50 megapixel main Ultra Vision camera with f/1.9 aperture, 1/1.28 inch sensor, RYYB color filter array and an octa PD Autofocus. With the 16 megapixel Ultra Wide Angle camera (f/2.2) more content will be able to captured and the 8 megapixel telephoto camera supports 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom, 30x digital zoom and OIS. The front-facing camera is integrated to the punch-hole display. With the 13MP wide-view front camera, you can take selfies and groupfies from three perspectives and shoot fun vlogs with a wide array of enriching video features. Cinematic footage can be shoot thanks to the XD Fusion HDR Video technology that renders each frame with faithfully optimized detail, color, contrast and brightness, via custom multi-exposure imaging. The video quality of the Mate 40 is significantly enhanced, even in low-light conditions, with little-to-no over-exposure across the image.
The Huawei Mate 40 5G has a large-capacity battery with 4200mAh. The phone battery can be charged with 40W Huawei SuperCharge or 40W Wireless Huawei SuperCharge technology. Connectivity options of the Mate 40 5G include worldwide dual 5G and 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Wi-Fi 6+, OTG, and dual GPS, to name just a few. The Mate 40 5G is also IP53 certified and therefore water resistant. Please note, that even if English language (or another language) is available, some parts of the operating system might still be displayed in Chinese language. No launcher change possible.
