The Honor V40 is the first smartphone after Huawei has sold its secondary smartphone brand. The Honor V40 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor and paired with 8GB of RAM, Mali-G77 and a six core MediaTek APU 3.0 NPU. The Honor V40 sports a 6.72 inch screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. The built-in battery has a capacity of 4000mAh and can be charged with 66W charging speed. The Honor phone runs Magic UI based on Android 10 OS.
The 80° curved 2.5D OLED screen has a resolution of 2676 x 1236 with integrated fingerprint sensor to unlock the Honor V40 safe and swiftly. Underneath the 6.72 inch display is a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset with 4x Cortex A77 2.6GHz +4x Cortex A55 2.0GHz. The SoC is supported by a Mali G77 GPU for graphics. The new generation GPU Turbo X10 can perform game logic processing and rendering processing optimization, exchange resources between CPU and GPU, and also use an AI model for intelligent perception adjustment. The Honor V40 is also equipped with Hunter Boost 12, for an improved gaming experience.
In the camera department, the main camera is a 50 megapixel, 1/.1.56 inch RYYB sensor. The 50MP primary lens is accompanied by an 8MP ultra wide camera and a 2MP macro lens. On the front is a 16 megapixel selfie camera, joined by a ToF sensor for improved portrait shots and face unlock speed.
The Honor V40 packs a 4000mAh camera with 66W charging speed. The battery can be charged in 15 minutes to 60%. Additional features and connectivity options include dual band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and an infrared blaster. For navigation and positioning dual GPS (L1+L5), BeiDou (E1+E5a) and QZSS (L1+L5) are on board as well as A-GPS and Glonass. The Honor V40 5G comes with OTG support and a NFC chip. The Honor V40 with Dimensity 1000+ is running Magic UI 4.0 based on Android 10. Please note, that even if English language (or another language) is available, some parts of the operating system might still be displayed in Chinese language. No launcher change possible.
