Xiaomi has released a brand new e-book reader device with a 5.2-inch eink screen called the Moaan InkPalm 5. Its compact form factor is more similar to a phone rather than your typical e-reader or tablet. The Xiaomi Moaan InkPalm 5 is also lightweight at just 115 grams and slim with a thickness of just 6,9mm. The size and weight is appealing to people who want an ebook reader they can carry around in their pockets or purse.
The Moaan InkPalm 5 sports a a 5.2 inch electronic ink screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a pixel density of 284ppi. In addition, the mini e-reader features front light with 24 levels of warm and cold brightness adjustment. The body of the Moaan InkPalm 5 measures 143.5 x 76.6 x 6.9mm and a weight of 115 g. Inside, it runs with Android 8.1 OS and is powered by an Allwinner quad-core processor, paired with 1 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal memory.
On the connectivity side, the Xiaomi Moaan InkPalm 5 packs a battery with 1,400mAh capacity, an USB Type-C port, dual band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0. In addition, the pocket e-book reading device sports a microphone and comes with an anti-glare screen protector pre-applied. It also supports installation of third party applications and manual import of ebooks. Please note, that the Xiaomi Moaan InkPalm 5 is produced primarily for the Chinese language market. Only Chinese language is supported.
