In China the Realme Q is launched as a rebranded Realme 5 Pro sporting a quad-camera powered by a Snapdragon 712. The Realme Q comes with a 6.3-inch full HD+ display and a built-in battery with 4035mAh capacity supporting VOOC 3.0 fast charging up to 20W. The smartphone has very narrow bezels and offers a screen-to-body ratio of 90.6 per cent.
In terms of design and specifications, the Realme Q is identical to the Realme 5 Pro. The Android smartphone comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ LCD display with waterdrop notch and 450nit brightness. Underneath, it is powered by 10nm octa-core chipset with 2.3GHz burst frequency. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 comes coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and an expandable internal storage of up to 128GB. The flash memory can be expanded by up to 256GB with a microSD memory card.
On the rear of the Realme Q is a quad camera setup. The primary camera uses a 48-megapixel sensor for high-resolution photos and taking videos with 4K and 30fps. The other three camera sensors include an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front inside the waterdew notch, the Realme Q sports a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 camera sensor. The camera also supports features like EIS anti-shake, Nightscape mode, Chroma Boost, HDR, PDAF or Super Slow-motion video recording at 960fps.
Like the other two available Realme cell phones, the Realme Q runs ColorOS 6.0 based Android 9 Pie OS and it boasts additional features like Game Boost or HyberBoost 2.0 for an improved mobile gaming performance when playing games like Asphalt 9, Fortnite or PUBG Mobile on the device. The Realme Q comes with a large 4035mAh battery supporting VOOC 3.0 fast charging. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, fingerprint sensor, USB-C, dual 4G LTE and dual band Wi-Fi, as well as GPS, Beidou and Galileo. The inexpensive Android smartphone is available in Crystal Green or Sparkling Blue color options. Please note, that even if English language (or another language) is available, some parts of the operating system might still be displayed in Chinese language.
