The Huawei MateBook 13 Ryzen Edition is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor (APU) and has a screen-to-body ratio of 88 percent. The compact notebook is available in three different color options - Mystical Silver, Space Gray, and Cherry Powder.
The laptop features a slimline metallic frame with a diamond cut finish on each corner. The Huawei MateBook 13 has a state-of-the-art 13-inch screen with 2,160 x 1,440 pixels resolution (2K), 178-degree viewing angles, sRGB color gamut, and 300-nit brightness. The device has an 88% screen-to-body ratio. The Huawei Matebook 13 Ryzen Edition is equipped with an AMD R5 3500U processor (APU). It combines four Zen+ cores (8 threads) clocked at 2.2-3.8GHz, coupled with a Radeon RX Vega 8 graphics card with 8 CUs (512 Shaders) clocked at up to 1200 MHz. The processor is based on 12nm technology. The CPU is with 2.2GHz and 3.7GHz at peak frequency slightly faster than its predecessor. AMD states that the 3500U processor is about 8% faster than the predecessors. The device is also equipped with a Radeon Vega 8 GPU, as well as 8GB or 16GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB SSD internal storage.
The Huawei MateBook 13 Ryzen Edition packs a 42Wh large battery which allows you to play local 1080p videos for 11.6 hours on a full charge. With the Huawei Quick Charge technology, you can get an additional 2.3 hours of office use from a 15 minute charge. The notebook supports dual-band WiFi, fingerprint power button to qucily power up and login by one step, two USB Type-C ports with one supporting data and charging and the other data and DisplayPort, Bluetooth 5.0, as well as a traditional 3.5 mm headphone audio jack. The MateBook 13 Ryzen Edition also supports Huawei Share 3.0 technology. The technology is an NFC-based feature that can be used by Huawei mobile phones equipped with NFC chips and EMUI 9.0 systems. It is also just 14.9mm thick and weighs only 1.3kg which means it isn’t only portable but also lightweight. The MateBook 13 Ryzen Edition runs Linux, Windows 10 Home Chinese OS or Windows 10 Pro out of the box.
